Lagoon~ Take 2

Tim and I went to Lagoon again yesterday. This time we left Brcok with Grandma and pa Ulrich for the night. I must say, he did spectacular and did not miss us one bit! Here are a few pictures from Lagoon~

Me and Tim right after arriving.
Ma and Pa Kettle
The Ham Fam {aka the Hamiltion's} before Rattle Snake Rapids, where Tim got soaked. It was great.
Me, Shayla, Shelby, Mom and Tim on the swings. I love this ride. It is a classic.
Tim talked me into riding Re-Entry in the dark, let me just say this ride is way scarier at night!
This time we got Old Time pictures taken. It was so fun. Tim was an outlaw and I was a saloon girl. I think Tim's beard fit nicely with the ambience.
Didn't you know? Cowboys don't smile.
Here is the professional shots. I love this one. I am shooting my mom for the money! LOL
And here is one where we are all smiling. Isn't Dani the cutest little outlaw?
We spent Sat night, then got up early to go to Temple Square to hear music and the spoken word. We had never been before and it was really nice. All in all it was a fun weekend. Until we went to pick Brock up and he didn't want to come home with us! I don't think he missed us one little bit! I guess Tim and I should be taking more weekend get aways! :)

Boating and Birthday

Yesterday we went to Twin Lakes with Tim's parents. Twin Lakes is about an hour from Pocatello by a dinky little town called Clifton. Heard of it? Didn't think so. Non the less, we still had a great time
I think Brock had the cream from about 10 double stuff Oreos for dinner. Thanks Grandma Ulrich. :)
Brock is such a master of mischief for sure! He does obey well, but case in point~ He was taking handfulls of sand and throwing them into the lake. No biggie. But then he takes a handful and looks at me and then at Alaina. I just know he wants to chuck it at her. I Say "NO Brock we do not throw sand at Grandma" So what does he do? Well, he doesn't throw the sand, but he walks up to her and wipes it right on her leg. What a little turd. At least he obeyed I guess!
Here are Tim and I in front of the boat. Brock wouldn't join us for the picture.
Me being tough. This is why Brock is so obedient. I lay down the law.
White-eee and Brock. What a cute pair.
Brock loved to drive the boat. Thank goodness Jay is a patient man. Brock kept hitting his hand away when he tried to steer the boat. It was pretty funny.
Tim, uh, enjoying the Lake.
Driving with Papa.
Playing in the lake. Brock had a ball.

Brock and Papa Jay Bird
Before we left. Brock Loves the "Truck". Bye Momma!
And Tim is turning into an old man. He recently turned 28!!! I Surprised him with a new set of irons for golfing. It was really fun because he had no idea and was really excited. Tim generally doesn't get too excited about presents, but he was like a little kid, couldn't wait to get the bow off of them and play! It was fun.

BAAAAAAD

Wow, I've been neglecting this little blog! I guess I just get behind now that we live in Pocatello. We see Tim's family multiple times a week and I see the Hamilton's all the time too. So they all pretty much know whats going on with us. But, for the rest of you, here is a quick re-cap of what our summer has been like so far!
We have had our far share of fun. In fact, this summer has been pretty great. We got to go camping with my parents and the girls. Tim and I got to go on a nice little 4-Wheel ride. Although, I think I bore Tim now. I used to be a dare devil on the 4 wheeler, but now I am just a scared little pansy. Having a kid does that to you I guess.

Pocatello also has a great water park called Ross Park. Brock and I like to go there when it is hot enough!
We also got to go to Lagoon with Tim's family. We weren't sure how Brock would do at Lagoon, but he LOVED it! There is a kiddie ride called the Egg Drop. It is just like the Blast Off or Re-Entry for the adults. Anyway, we get Brock on here and all these other parents are giving Tim the Stink Eye because they think Brock is scared. Well, we showed them! As soon as the ride started Brock giggled and squealed with delight the whole time. We rode that about 20 times. Here he is flying the helicopter. Which he also loved!
Here is some more Lodge pictures. Grandpa and Dani mowing the lawn.
Here is Tim and I at Lagoon on the "Choo-Choo" Brock had to ride this multiple times as well.
Here is cute little Dani. Here and Brock are fast becoming the best of friends. It is so cute to see them play together!

You know your baby is gtowing up when...

I looked at Brock just in time to see him about to jump on the couch. He knows this is a "no-no". I gave him a stern look and said "Be Good!" He promptly rolled his eyes, threw up his hands, and screeched "I Know!" He then proceed to jump OFF the couch. Whether he is prematurely turning into a teenager or he learned this from his sassy cousin Danika (age 4), is yet to be determined.

RIP, Life Lessons, and Little Blessings{or miracles}

Well I am sure you have been wondering just where in the heck we have been! Truthfully, I have somewhat taken a break from the internet and the computer (yes even scrap booking, gasp!) and it has really been a nice break. But, now that we are all moved and somewhat settled in, I figured I should probably do some sort of an update here! So and way~
RIP
Our poor entertainment center. This was the first real piece of furniture that Tim and I purchased with our own hard earned $. He have had it almost 5 years! Unfortunately when we moved to Seattle, Tim broke it :( So Seattle will for ever be it's resting place! He was a good entertainment center. I was pretty bummed until Tim took me to Ikea to buy a new one! Can't wait to set it up in Boise! As you can see, Brock had a ball helping Tim take it apart.
Ok, I don't have a picture for the Life Lessons, but believe me DO NOT BUY CHEAP PACKING TAPE! Seriously, this is not the time to save a little $$ my friends. I think every box that I triple taped with the cheap stuff bust open while loading into the truck! I am praying that mice don't get into our boxes while they are in storage in Boise. Because having to replace all that stuff is a lot more expensive then splurging a few extra bucks for the good stuff.

Little Blessings~
The trip home was full of little blessings. #1 Our Moving truck. I sincerely wish I would have been able to take a picture of the moving truck. I don't know how, but we managed to squeeze a 5 person family, plus us and a single guy all into one 25 ft trailer. Granted that is huge, but combined we have a lot of stuff! I was VERY worried when they brought the truck over and it looked already half full! Without our stuff! Anyway, some how it all fit. I kept telling the guys {Tim, DJ and Mike} that they needed to take a picture for proof in case they bombed their boards. There was no way anything but a surgeons hands could have packed that truck so tightly!
#2. MY truck. Ya'know old red? Yes we still have her and she is still kicking... Some what. She sat for A YEAR in front of our apartment complex. It was impossible to drive that huge thing in Seattle. Anyway, it made it all the way home! I think this is a small miracle as the poor truck is over 10 years old. and another small miracle is that Tim didn't pass out from a) heat exhaustion as the AC doesn't work and b) boredom as he was alone and the stereo doesn't work either!
#3 {#4} these 2 kind of go together. My parents. First of all my mom. I am so gratefull and blessed that she was willing to come to Seattle for nothing but a few days of packing. I know we would not have been able to get along with out her! I also would have probably fallen asleep on the way home! SO thanks mom I love you! And then there is my Dad. The whole time I was begging him to come, but he just said he didn't feel he could miss work. Maybe it was something more. But while we were moving, my sweet Grandma Pearson passed away. I am so glad that my dad was able to be by her side instead of with me. What a great blessing. I am so glad that Brock and Grandma got to meet a few times. She was a sweet and strong lady.
OK enough chatter! Here are a few pictures of what's been going on. Here is Brock and me at Des Moin Beach in Seattle. It is pictures like these that I will miss. Seattle really is beautiful!
This picture is self explanatory. Brock loves to be naked!

Here is Brock at Ross Park. He was having a great time in the kiddie area!

And here we are at hie 2nd birthday. I can't believe my little Turd is 2! He has changed so much in one year. Here are a few things
~ He used to be fearless. Now he is fearful. He doesn't like strangers like he used to and we cant get him any where near a 4 wheeler or motorcycle and he used to love them.
~ he loves to play with other kids. He is so cute! The first thing he does when he meets someone new is point to me and say "The momma?" He is only two and already such a gentlemen, introducing me to all his friends!
~ He is a picky eater! This is hard for me. He used to eat everything we would put in front of him. Now he only wants fruit, cheese quesadillas with catsup, or oatmeal.
~ He is a huge Momma's boy. He is my little side kick and he gives the best hugs, kisses and snuggles!
I can't believe he made it through 2 years with Tim and I as parents!

A Bittersweet Farewell

As much as I have looked forward to this day, I can't believe it is time for us to leave Seattle. Don't get me wrong, I am beyond ecstatic to get back to Idaho, but now that the moving day is literally around the corner, I find myself thinking of the things I am going to miss about this place. Here is a short list~
1. Trader Joes

I love this grocery store. It is tiny and totally hippie. But I love the prices and the organic food. I am really going to miss walking to this place a few times a week. Plus the people here are really nice. (Unlike all the other Stuck up places by my house. And I am being very serious!)
2. The water
I know Tim and I complained quite a bit about what a pain driving is due to the water, but it really makes for a beautiful city. For some reason I am feeling sad to leave the ocean. Even though it's not
right in Seattle, we visited a few times and I really, really enjoyed it. I think I could have been a beach bum in another life.

3. The Olympic Peninsula. I am SO bummed we
did not get to do this more! I could really live in
Sequim. Love it there. Tim and I have plans to vacation here someday {soon hopefully} and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seattle. Heck, I'd skip Seattle all together and spend the whole vacation here!

And I am sure I had more of a list in my head, but i cant remember now. Ha Ha. I really do want to move back home! But, just to keep in with the list, here are a few things I will NOT be missing
1. Traffic
2. Mean People
3. People asking me if I am Brock's Nanny (seriously)
4. People looking down on me when I say I am his Mom
5. Mean People
6. Everything is PRICEY here
7. Driving at least 30 mins to get where ever I want to go.
8. Dogs in the the grocery store
9. Mean People
10. No super wal mart or winco or Wendy's or any normal fast food with in 5 miles.
I can go on and on and on. But I wont :D. Although, I am glad I got the chance to live in a huge city. I now know I am a small town girl at heart and am pretty convinced that Tim and I will end up in a small{er} town. Even if we would have loved Seattle, I think I would have a hard time living so far away from family. {Special thanks to Natalie and Lance for taking such good care of us!}
Ok I'm done with my little soap box or whatever. Here are some recent pictures put into scrapbook LO's I know you all love!
Here is Brenna. She is such a beautiful young lady. I can't wait to see the Hamilton's!
Here are the pictures from Brock's recent yogurt bath {using a kit I made}
A few more of our family pictures

Here is Brock with his little trains. {I made this kit too]
Anyway, that is what is happening with the Ulrich's. I put a link to a HILARIOUS video. If you love the 80's {uh Lachelle?} or just like to laugh you have to watch this. I have watched 3 times and it still makes me laugh!

Brock must be Worried about Wrinkles

I think he must have seen it on an info mercial or something. The wonders a yogurt bath could have on your skin. Why else would he do this?
Oh ya, he is a little boy. And I love him more everyday!
