You know your baby is gtowing up when...

I looked at Brock just in time to see him about to jump on the couch. He knows this is a "no-no". I gave him a stern look and said "Be Good!" He promptly rolled his eyes, threw up his hands, and screeched "I Know!" He then proceed to jump OFF the couch. Whether he is prematurely turning into a teenager or he learned this from his sassy cousin Danika (age 4), is yet to be determined.

RIP, Life Lessons, and Little Blessings{or miracles}

Well I am sure you have been wondering just where in the heck we have been! Truthfully, I have somewhat taken a break from the internet and the computer (yes even scrap booking, gasp!) and it has really been a nice break. But, now that we are all moved and somewhat settled in, I figured I should probably do some sort of an update here! So and way~
RIP
Our poor entertainment center. This was the first real piece of furniture that Tim and I purchased with our own hard earned $. He have had it almost 5 years! Unfortunately when we moved to Seattle, Tim broke it :( So Seattle will for ever be it's resting place! He was a good entertainment center. I was pretty bummed until Tim took me to Ikea to buy a new one! Can't wait to set it up in Boise! As you can see, Brock had a ball helping Tim take it apart.
Ok, I don't have a picture for the Life Lessons, but believe me DO NOT BUY CHEAP PACKING TAPE! Seriously, this is not the time to save a little $$ my friends. I think every box that I triple taped with the cheap stuff bust open while loading into the truck! I am praying that mice don't get into our boxes while they are in storage in Boise. Because having to replace all that stuff is a lot more expensive then splurging a few extra bucks for the good stuff.

Little Blessings~
The trip home was full of little blessings. #1 Our Moving truck. I sincerely wish I would have been able to take a picture of the moving truck. I don't know how, but we managed to squeeze a 5 person family, plus us and a single guy all into one 25 ft trailer. Granted that is huge, but combined we have a lot of stuff! I was VERY worried when they brought the truck over and it looked already half full! Without our stuff! Anyway, some how it all fit. I kept telling the guys {Tim, DJ and Mike} that they needed to take a picture for proof in case they bombed their boards. There was no way anything but a surgeons hands could have packed that truck so tightly!
#2. MY truck. Ya'know old red? Yes we still have her and she is still kicking... Some what. She sat for A YEAR in front of our apartment complex. It was impossible to drive that huge thing in Seattle. Anyway, it made it all the way home! I think this is a small miracle as the poor truck is over 10 years old. and another small miracle is that Tim didn't pass out from a) heat exhaustion as the AC doesn't work and b) boredom as he was alone and the stereo doesn't work either!
#3 {#4} these 2 kind of go together. My parents. First of all my mom. I am so gratefull and blessed that she was willing to come to Seattle for nothing but a few days of packing. I know we would not have been able to get along with out her! I also would have probably fallen asleep on the way home! SO thanks mom I love you! And then there is my Dad. The whole time I was begging him to come, but he just said he didn't feel he could miss work. Maybe it was something more. But while we were moving, my sweet Grandma Pearson passed away. I am so glad that my dad was able to be by her side instead of with me. What a great blessing. I am so glad that Brock and Grandma got to meet a few times. She was a sweet and strong lady.
OK enough chatter! Here are a few pictures of what's been going on. Here is Brock and me at Des Moin Beach in Seattle. It is pictures like these that I will miss. Seattle really is beautiful!
This picture is self explanatory. Brock loves to be naked!

Here is Brock at Ross Park. He was having a great time in the kiddie area!

And here we are at hie 2nd birthday. I can't believe my little Turd is 2! He has changed so much in one year. Here are a few things
~ He used to be fearless. Now he is fearful. He doesn't like strangers like he used to and we cant get him any where near a 4 wheeler or motorcycle and he used to love them.
~ he loves to play with other kids. He is so cute! The first thing he does when he meets someone new is point to me and say "The momma?" He is only two and already such a gentlemen, introducing me to all his friends!
~ He is a picky eater! This is hard for me. He used to eat everything we would put in front of him. Now he only wants fruit, cheese quesadillas with catsup, or oatmeal.
~ He is a huge Momma's boy. He is my little side kick and he gives the best hugs, kisses and snuggles!
I can't believe he made it through 2 years with Tim and I as parents!

A Bittersweet Farewell

As much as I have looked forward to this day, I can't believe it is time for us to leave Seattle. Don't get me wrong, I am beyond ecstatic to get back to Idaho, but now that the moving day is literally around the corner, I find myself thinking of the things I am going to miss about this place. Here is a short list~
1. Trader Joes

I love this grocery store. It is tiny and totally hippie. But I love the prices and the organic food. I am really going to miss walking to this place a few times a week. Plus the people here are really nice. (Unlike all the other Stuck up places by my house. And I am being very serious!)
2. The water
I know Tim and I complained quite a bit about what a pain driving is due to the water, but it really makes for a beautiful city. For some reason I am feeling sad to leave the ocean. Even though it's not
right in Seattle, we visited a few times and I really, really enjoyed it. I think I could have been a beach bum in another life.

3. The Olympic Peninsula. I am SO bummed we
did not get to do this more! I could really live in
Sequim. Love it there. Tim and I have plans to vacation here someday {soon hopefully} and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seattle. Heck, I'd skip Seattle all together and spend the whole vacation here!

And I am sure I had more of a list in my head, but i cant remember now. Ha Ha. I really do want to move back home! But, just to keep in with the list, here are a few things I will NOT be missing
1. Traffic
2. Mean People
3. People asking me if I am Brock's Nanny (seriously)
4. People looking down on me when I say I am his Mom
5. Mean People
6. Everything is PRICEY here
7. Driving at least 30 mins to get where ever I want to go.
8. Dogs in the the grocery store
9. Mean People
10. No super wal mart or winco or Wendy's or any normal fast food with in 5 miles.
I can go on and on and on. But I wont :D. Although, I am glad I got the chance to live in a huge city. I now know I am a small town girl at heart and am pretty convinced that Tim and I will end up in a small{er} town. Even if we would have loved Seattle, I think I would have a hard time living so far away from family. {Special thanks to Natalie and Lance for taking such good care of us!}
Ok I'm done with my little soap box or whatever. Here are some recent pictures put into scrapbook LO's I know you all love!
Here is Brenna. She is such a beautiful young lady. I can't wait to see the Hamilton's!
Here are the pictures from Brock's recent yogurt bath {using a kit I made}
A few more of our family pictures

Here is Brock with his little trains. {I made this kit too]
Anyway, that is what is happening with the Ulrich's. I put a link to a HILARIOUS video. If you love the 80's {uh Lachelle?} or just like to laugh you have to watch this. I have watched 3 times and it still makes me laugh!
Funnny Video

Brock must be Worried about Wrinkles

I think he must have seen it on an info mercial or something. The wonders a yogurt bath could have on your skin. Why else would he do this?
Oh ya, he is a little boy. And I love him more everyday!

I've Been There....

Yes, I've been.... there. I'll tell you where in a minute. First you have to suffer through all the shctuff we have been up too lately! he he. Don't worry I'l be brief and let the pictures do the talking!
We had our family pictures taken a few weeks back. Brock and Tim had matching shirts, but Tim thought it was a good idea to give Brock a Hot Tamale candy right as we were stepping out the door. Ya it took all of 3 seconds before Brock had red droole all down he shirt.

This is about the only good family picture we got. After 3 hours of church and no nap, Brock was not in the mood.
This one is cute though!

We did get a ton of cute ones of me and Tim, which is nice as we never have pictures of us!
Brock's newest thing is trains. He just loves this train set from Ikea!
For memorial Day, we uh..."celebrated" by having a picnic in our living room. Not quit 4-wheeling in Mink Creek, but Tim had a final the next day and couldn't do anything more fun. Brock had a hoot though.
No better way to eat chips then with a fork!
Here is Brock in the morning, He loves to strip before he goes to sleep, the goof.
This weekend we took a last minute trip to the Olympic Peninsula. It was so much fun. I only wish we would have had more time to play. I really want to go back again. We'll see if I can talk Tim into before we leave!
Here we are at the Dungeness Sand Spit. The longest Natural Spit in the PNW. All of our friends just raved about it so we had to check it out. It was so foggy though, I couldn't see for more that a few hundred yards into the ocean. I kept expecting the Black Pearl to come out!
Brock loved the waves. He had fun walking the beach and throwing rocks with Tim.
On our hike back we spotted this deer, right off the trail. Brock is too interested with the deer to look at me!
Ok, sorry to all you hard core sand spit lovers, but Tim and I were a little bit let down. We went to Realto Beach in La Push (i think you may have heard of La Push) afterwards, and it was SO MUCH COOLER! We wish we would have hung out there all day. Here are some awesome pictures taken from the Beach.
{up the beach there is First Beach and the cliffs made famous by Twilight)
{here is Azkaban.... according to Tim}
Brock loves the waves. He liked to go to the edge and then let the Foam "chase" him. In fact we both got caught and got our shoes wet and full of sand. Oh well!
Big drift wood! The drift wood was amazing on the beach! I could have played all day!
Some one (not me!!!) had put this in the sand. I was tempted to cross it out and write Edward, but though better of it, after all, we were in wolf territory!

Tim climbed up a little hill. Can you see me and Brock down there?
And {drum roll please} I made Tim drive me into Forks. And it was..... disappointing? It is really just a dumpy little town with way to much Twilight pride. Seriously, there were posters everywhere. Even a few shops dedicated to Twilight memorabilia. I considered becoming "team Jacob" just because La Push is so beautiful and much cooler that Forks. But, I didn't ;) But here is the sign to prove it. I was going to get out of the car and stand by the sign. But, due to Tim's immense teasing, and my own embarrassment, I decided not to. BUT, I have still been there!
All in all our weekend was pretty fun. I really want to go back and just stay on the beach. The Olympic Peninsula is a BEAUTIFUL place, and if any of our WA friends haven't been there yet, GO! Skip the spit though and head straight for the beaches at La Push! :)

This one's for the Grandparents!

When it rains it Pours, and well, I do live in Seattle! Lots to catch up on. We have been a house of sicky's lately. It seems that Brock and I just switch off on when to be sick. He had a cough last week and now I have a cough, sore throat etc. No fun. Last weekend when we were both feeling ok we did sneak in a little hike. It was lots of fun, until I walked into Stinging Nettle. OUCH! If you have never felt stinging Nettle, it literally feels like something bites you! It really, really hurts! And my legs were stinging and tingly all night long. Not fun at all.
We took Brock to the Dr. the other day for a well baby check up. According to Tim, the nurse who was administering the shots was moving so fast the needles were flying all over the place (I wasn't there). Needless to say, she poked herself. They made Tim wait an extra 45 mins because they wanted to draw blood from Brock to make sure he didn't have HIV or something (seriously?). But, they finally sent him home. Well, later that week I get a call from the social worker at the medical center saying the nurse was freaking out and if we didn't go in, they would get a court ordered blood test. Ridiculous. So I had to take poor Brock in for a blood draw. :( He did rather well, but it still broke my heart.
Ok on to the pictures, Brock has turned into quite the little stripper as of late. He Loves to take his clothes off. Especially at night or during naps. This is what we find all the time~

Luckily he hasn't figured out how to wiggle out of his diaper yet. I do not want a "Poo-caso" on my hands!
This is just a cute picture!~

Ok and here are a bunch of recent scrapbook LO's~
Click here to be directed to my scrap blog if you want credits to these kits.

Here is Amy and Brian when they visited Seattle!
Brock and Owen are such great friends! We are going to miss them when they move

Here are a few of my sweet little Danika. I can't wait to see her and the rest of the Hamilton's. If I am not mistaken, they owe me about 100 hours of babysitting, so I am looking forward to that... { :D }

And here is little Brock. Awwww
Here are a few things Brock has been doing lately, he now loves trains. I bought him a little train set at Ikea and it is his new favorite thing. He loves his "Choo choo" as he calls them. He is talking up a storm. Some of our favorites include ~ "Go get it!" "Night night" "kisses" "jesus" "juice" "snack" and many others. He is always talking, I just can't understand him half the time! He has also became very affectionate. He was always a snuggler, but he now loves to give kisses. Grandparents be warned: Brock loves to give open mouth, wet, slobbery kisses. (Probably why I always get sick from him). I just can't turn him away though because he is always so proud of himself! Just a little warning!
