This post is going to be mostly pictures. I know that is what you all are mostly interested in anyway!

Brock is at Madison Beach Park. It is a really fun little beach with an awesome park close by. The beach is clean and they don't allow nudity or dogs, so YAY! It was a ton of fun. Brock loved the water and the sand. We are going to buy him an innertube so next time we go he can swim a little more. We plan on visiting this beach a bunch before it gets too rainy!

And lastly, eating dinner in the revolving cafe at the Space Needle. It was really cool to see Seattle from way up. We might go back some time without Brock, because well as he wants to eat everything we eat, we can't really enjoy a meal with him. So until next time, Adios!

Happy 1st Birthday!

I cant believe that a year has gone by already. Brock is huge and loving life. He had a great birthday. We went to a BBQ at a friend's house. We gave him his first slice of watermelon. He loved it. Only problem was, was that Tim gave him a piece that was too big and he had trouble lifting it up to his mouth.

Problem solved! He couldn't lift it, so he just bent over to take bites out of it.

Baby Got Back

Last night we went to the Mariners Game. It was LDS night, which meant that tickets were half price. So Tim and I both got in for $20. We usually think baseball is incredibly boring to watch on tv, so I wasn't expecting much. We actually had a blast. Baseball is so much more enjoyable live. Brock had a good time too, until he rubbed his eyes and got sunscreen in them. The poor guys eye's were red, puffy, and streaming practically the rest of the game. Note to self: hands don't really need to be slathered in sunscreen.

You can kind of see the puffy eyes. Grandma Alaina just sent him this baseball outfit that day. It is blue and teal striped. Mariner's colors! He looked like a true Mariner.

This is some guy named Ichiro running to first base. Apparently he's a big deal. Every time he was in the field the crowd went nuts chanting ICHIRO! ICHIRO!

Every first Thursday of the month in Seattle, a lot of museums offer free admittance. We went and saw the Experience Music Project and the Science Fiction Museum. Both were extremely entertaining. I had no idea that so many bands started in Seattle. Jimmy Hendrix was born in Seattle. I saw a few of his guitars and his lyric notebook. It was very cool. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Sir Mix a Lot (Seattle's 1st rapper) all got their start here. I didn't know that. In the science fiction museum, I got to see the real Deathstar, ET, and a robot from Terminator II. I thought it was way cool!! I love Stars Wars and Sci-fi crap, so I was excited. I'm a nerd I know... 

Snoq-WHAT?

So, I hope you all aren't getting sick of hearing our adventures in Seattle. We do something new everyday and it feels like I take more pictures than I know what to do with. The result? Lots of blogging for you all to enjoy! Yay!  The other day we went to a place called Snoqualmie Falls. It is about 20 miles away from where we live. It is a awesome water fall that is like a huge tourist attraction. According to Tim it is taller than Niagra. We hiked down to the falls and somehow Tim talked me into climbing over the board walk and hiking down to the shore with Brock. I was pretty nervous to let him carry Brock down the rocky edge, but I am glad we did because he loved the water. Once we let him in, he did not want to get out even though is was FREEZING cold.

We saw this tree on the hike down. We thought it was kind of interesting so we took a picture. Washington is so crazy. You can drive 20 feet off the freeway and all the sudden feel like you are in the rainforest. It's great.

This is where we hiked down to the water's edge. It was neat. I wish we had brought our suits because it was like 99 degrees and a lot of people were swimming. It was a fun trip and I also saw a bat! It landed right by my foot then flew right by my head. Gross! We took a little video of the falls because we felt that we couldn't catch all the beauty in photos alone.

Today we went and walked around the University of WA campus. The campus is beautiful. There are a ton of trees and really cool looking stone buildings. We walked around the campus for maybe an hour, and didn't even scratch the surface. It's just huge. The fountain below is awesome. In the background is Mt. Rainier. Very picturesque. 

I thought these pictures of Brock on Tim's shoulders were cute. They are such a cute father and son pair. That building straight ahead being built right in front of our building. Luckily, Brock is learning to sleep through lots of noise. YAY!

Brock has this new game that he absolutely loves. If I tell him "I'm gonna get ya" he just bursts out laughing and "tries" to run away. We think it's funny how hard he laughs.  In this video he keeps trying to hide behind Tim's legs. Isn't he the cutest?

AHHHH..... Seattle

Hello everyone! It has been about forever since I last blogged, so let me update you all on what we have been up to. Since I last posted, Tim, Brock and I moved to Seattle WA. I actually would have posted sooner, but we lost our camera USB somewhere in the move. Anyway, my mom and I moved up a week before Tim and my dad. And thanks to our handy dandy GPS, we actually managed ok with out the male genius sense of direction (as Tim puts it anyway). It was a lot of fun. We just went to all the huge malls Seattle has to offer and ate all our food on the floor. We slept on an air mattress for a week and watched movies on the lap-top. It was truly a week of roughing it. :) When Tim and my dad showed up, I couldn't believe how they managed to pack our whole house into a tiny U-Haul. I am waiting for my dad to send me the pictures so I can show all of you. Since Tim had been here we have had so much fun. Seattle has so much to offer, we always have something to do.

We went to Bainbridge Island with my parents on Sunday. They loved the ferry. As you can see, Brock no longer is content to ride in the stroller. He would much rather help push it around.
This is Tim and I at Gasworks Park. It is a huge hill overlooking the Puget Sound. It is an amazing view. In the back ground there are tons of sails. People also use this park to fly kites. There were a few people there that day and it was neat to watch all the kites.
The park is called Gasworks because it used to be a oil refinery. If any of you recognize the above photo, it may be because a scene from 10 Things I Hate About you was filmed here. I think it was the paintball scene. Anyway, they painted it to look new for the movie, but the city of Seattle made them remove it after they were done filming because they preferred the rustic look better. Just an interesting Seattle tidbit, compliments Mike Mitchell.  

I thought this was a cool picture overlooking the water. After we took it, I walked up to look over the edge and right down below were two guys smoking pot from a bong! It was the strangest thing! There were like families and little kids everywhere. Apparently cops have better things to worry about then the malfeasance of delinquent marijuana smokers. Unfortunately enough...Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me!

Brock seems to be adjusting to life in the big city just fine. He still loves his bath, is learning to eat all sorts of real food, is well on his way to walking, and has cut 4 molars! As for me, I have managed to only get honked at once (my fault) and flipped off once (not my fault). We also had dinner with my cousin Natalie and her husband. They live in Redmond. It is so nice to know that we have family just around the corner. It makes this big city seem a little more like home.
