Tagged by Melanie!

Here's how to play:
1. Link your tagger and list rules on your blog
2. Share 7 random/weird facts about yourself
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post leaving names and links to their blogs
4. Let them know they have been tagged by commenting on their blog

1. I love Harry Potter. I have started the series at least (the VERY least) 12 times. You should see Tim's face every time I have HP in my hands.

2. I'm addicted to Desperate Housewives on ABC. It used to be my dirty little secret.

3. I love to work out. The sweatier the better. I go about 5 times a week. Why don't I look like an amazing super model? Please see #4.

4. I LOVE sweet stuff. Especially candy. Any candy. Even the weird inventive candy they always have for sale on clearance by the check stand. I'll try anything twice. I don't think I ever met a candy I didn't like. Except Twizlers. Yuck. Oh and Circus Peanuts, but I've only met 2 people in my entire life that like these (Tim's Grandpa Bos and My Grandpa Fox... see the trend?) so I don't think they count as candy.

5. I dislike dogs. Sorry most of the greater Seattle area (where dogs are treated like precious children). I don't mind well trained dogs,  but sorry. It is just gross to take your dog into the grocery store, and let him lick your face. And they also really scare me. I randomly got bit by a dog once, and ever since then, I have severely distrusted them. It's actually a funny story. Ask me, I'll tell you.

6. I love writing and would some day like to write my own stories.

7. I drink more diet coke than I do water. I wish they had coke rehab (the soda kind) because I seriously need to wean myself of this habit!

Ok I tag

I know thats 8 but who cares?

Real Men Vacuum

Brock loves to vacuum. It makes the job a lot slower, but hey when both the men in my life are cleaning, I don't complain.

Brock has had a runny nose lately. I had to take a picture of this beauty. Wow.

Why I never Grocery Shop Alone

GRRRR
What is it with boys???
I usually try and take take Tim with me when I buy more than a few items at the grocery store. Why? Because it is impossible to make more than one trip in and out of the apartment to retrieve bags from the car when Brock is involved. Tim is like the Grocery Bag Bandit, because no matter how many groceries we buy, Tim can somehow make it inside with every bag on his arms. Amazing? I think so. I didn't marry this guy for nothing people!

Anyway,
Tim and I are out of food, so I had to go to the store to buy stuff for dinner. The actual shopping process was great, but once I got home, I tried to be a Bandit and put all the groceries on my arms. Brock didn't have shoes on, but I figured he could walk the few paces to the door. Dirty socks are the least of my worries. So I make it to the door (and now is about the time Brock usually runs in to me in excitement to climb the stairs) and unlock it and notice Brock is not behind me. I turn around to find him laying on his stomach drinking a puddle of rainwater OFF THE GARAGE FLOOR!!! I shriek at him to get up an follow me inside, but he just smiles big and dips his head down for another (refreshing?) gulp of water. So in my haste I throw all the groceries in the door (As my fresh loaf of french bread lands in a puddle)  and make a mad dash to Brock. Oh wait! I left my keys in the hallway! Luckily, I caught the door before it shut all the way and grabbed my keys, giving Brock the opportunity  for a few more drinks. I snatched him up and muffled as I was by the whole thing, managed to make it up the stairs and in the door with groceries and baby in arms. Yuck, yuck, yuck. I would have taken a pic, but it was just too disgusting.

Anyway, I know you are all laughing by now, and I think after writing about it, I can too!
But, if for some strange reason you aren't laughing, this movie of Brock should do it. I love his laugh. I makes me smile every time!

Love This Face

If any of you are wondering why Brock is so spoiled, let me ask you a question. How could you say no to this face?

Buh-Bye Binkie!

At Tim's request, I tried to "man up" the blog a little bit. So say good bye to soft pinks and cute design and hello to weird little owl in celebration of the apparently "manly" season of fall. I don't know why he cares so much. He never reads the blog and I'm sure none of our friend's husbands sit around and blog serf every night. But whatever. Compromise, it's what marriage is all about, right?

This week we have been trying to "loose" the binkie. This "plug" has generously served it's purpose. So much so, that when Brock has it in his mouth, he doesn't make a peep. I can't even tell if he smiles. But, when I take it out, he starts jabbering away! Unfortunately though, when I unplug the little peanut, lots of other stuff comes through too. Like whining, crying and the occasional high pitched scream.  I suppose I can either sacrifice my child's dental health for a few extra moments of silence or, well like every other parent, get used to it. I have to admit, it's been a hard a hard few days, but Brock has done wonderfully. He goes all day with out the binkie with out much trouble. We are still working on going sans binkie at nap time and bed time. We put him down with out it last night and he went to sleep just fine. However, he woke up early this morning, around 3. He sat and talked to himself for about an hour. Didn't cry, just carried on a perfectly pleasant conversation with himself. I don't know if the absence of his binkie had anything to do with this, but it was funny all the same. I'm not ready to try and put him down with out it at nap yet because I am not ready to sacrifice potentially 4 hours of peace and quiet a day!

Anyway, as Brock is screaming and trying to push me out of my computer chair to get my attention, I might throw him the binkie. Just this once. Man, I hate when Tim has school till 8 at night...

Here is a video update for the Grandparents. Not great quality, we need to buy a real video camera.

Good Bye Lloyd Christmas

I was pretty hesitant to post these pictures... These are proof that I know longer have a BABY boy. He is now a  LITTLE boy. An official toddler. When I think about it, it almost makes me cry. His curls are forever GONE. Everyone I talk to says that when they cut their babies curls, they never returned. Sniff sniff. I guess I had to cut is some time. But here are the requested pictures for my dear friend Chelsea, whom I am thinking of starting a SPEEDING TICKET TRUST FUND! If you want to donate, let me know! :)

Oh those beloved curls!!!

Half done.
Not even, but its gone, all gone.. He is a lot less sweaty now!

Random Summertime Photos

I recently got a lot of photos that my friend Jo has taken of us over this summer. I thought I would share them with you because summer is almost over and I am going to be so sad!
Family photo on a hike.
Brock lovin' the stair action at the cabin!
Here we are at Phantom. See how fancy?
Jo and Sean at Phantom with us. Too bad we can't see Fubu... he he he.
Here we are on a hike to a lighthouse on Discovery Park. It was a good hike, but the light house was disappointing. It was more like a one story cottage.
The ocean and the beach below. Brock had so much fun on the beach. And he only tried to eat sand and shells once...ok maybe twice.
I miss this hair...  :(
